		<description>The number of platform is just the number of unique value of the "platform" property of J2ME. Different vendors/manufacturer make different usage of this property that's whe there are so many of theses....
Some manufacturer (tpycally SE) include some version/revision in the platform identifier. Never had time to extract this and create a true database....</description>

813 number of pltaforms; as we already talked a little bit about fragmentation, do you mean 831 diffferent handset models or 831 different set of capabilities or features that you take into account. In the latter case, it would probably count even more models, right?</description>
