Google Maps API is some javascript API available only for use in other web sites, so technically we're breaking that license too. Fortunately, so far they have not complained about the search/directions/geocoding features, their main concern is their map tiles.

The problem with GoogleMap is about using their tiles, not existing function from their API (like Geocoding).

So for now I still keep GoogleMap support in the client, and hope to find a longer term agreement with them...

Does that mean that Google Map support is expected to be removed as well on J2MEMap ? Are you guilty for not respecting terms of use of these services ?

I'm really interested by J2MEMap because it seems to be a pretty good solution at client side.

At first, I planned to register a service like ViaMichelin service, to have maps and some functionnalities likes a search form that retrieves GPS coordinates from an address the user enters. However, an access to such a service is not free.

How do you manage you retrieve GPS coords from a textual search ?

Thank you.
